Information for Parents – Term Time Only (TTO) – 38 weeks
Our Pre-School is for children aged 2–5 years and is open during term time only, following Cheshire East school holidays. All bookings must be arranged before your child starts. This can be organised either during your pre-school tour or by contacting us via email.
We are set up to receive 15- and 30-hour funding for eligible 2-, 3- and 4-year-olds. Please note that we close on Fridays at 12:00pm. Funded hours can be used over two different childcare settings. On the Cheshire East Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE) write the primary setting in step 1 and the secondary setting in step 4.
Early Education Entitlements
At Little Bird’s Nest Pre-School, we offer all government-funded early education entitlements. These include:
30 Hours Childcare for Working Families

Available for eligible working families of children aged 9 months and upwards.

Provides up to 30 hours of funded childcare per week during term time.
15 Hours Funding for All 3- and 4-Year-Olds

Every child is entitled to 15 hours per week, starting from the term after their 3rd birthday until they begin school.
15 Hours Funding for Eligible 2-Year-Olds

Some 2-year-olds are entitled to 15 hours per week if their family receives certain types of support or benefits.

Families may be eligible for both the 30 hours working family entitlement and the disadvantaged 2-year-old funding, depending on their circumstances.
Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP)

Extra funding to support the learning and development of 3- and 4-year-olds from eligible families.
Disability Access Funding (DAF)

Annual one-off payment for providers caring for children with disabilities who receive Disability Living Allowance (DLA).

Once you receive your funding code, it is essential that you reconfirm your code every 3 months by the deadline to ensure your funding continues without interruption.
Funded hours can be taken in a variety of ways:

A mix of full days and morning/afternoon sessions
Please note that funded hours do not cover; meals, nappies, additional hours, additional services, sun cream, trips and parties. Any hours or sessions taken in addition to funded hours will be charged as below.

Payments

Fees can be paid by cash, childcare vouchers, Tax-Free Childcare, Universal Credit childcare, or bank transfer.

Bank details are shown on invoices. Please use your child’s full name as the payment reference.

Any adjustments will be added to the next invoice.

Fees are charged for the place, not attendance.
Fee Structure

Invoices are emailed half-termly. Monthly or weekly invoices can be arranged with the manager if preferred.

Funded hours will appear first on invoices, shown at £0.

Snack is included at no additional cost.

Extra hours, sessions, and Mini Sports (all optional) will be charged.

Trips/parties: Costs are divided equally among attending children and kept as low as possible. Attendance is optional but must be booked in advance. Children in receipt of EYPP will have trip/party costs covered.
What Needs to Be Provided

Packed lunch (for children staying over lunch 12:00pm–1:00pm):

A healthy packed lunch is encouraged.

Children are asked to eat their main item first, then fruit / yoghurt / cheese.

Treats (cake, crisps, chocolate) will only be offered afterwards.

Any leftovers will remain in the lunchbox so you can see what has been eaten.

Nappies (if applicable): Please provide around 4 nappies in your child’s bag. For a full day, nappies are changed twice with spares available. Provide wipes, these will be put back into your child’s bag.

Sun cream (summer term/hot weather): Please provide a named bottle in your child’s bag.
